Why workers in the US are unionising – BBC News


The number of workers voting to unionise in the US has risen sharply over the past year.

But as workforces unionise and the economy slows, some companies seem to be hitting back.

Joselyn Chuquillanqui had worked for Starbucks for nearly seven years, when last month the company fired her for being three minutes late. She describes her experience.
