Why are Israelis moving abroad over unrest at home? – BBC News

Tens of thousands of Israelis are continuing to join weekly protests over the government’s highly controversial plans to overhaul the justice system.

Protesters believe it endangers democracy. But, Israel’s government has argued that its actions enhance democracy, by fixing a judicial system in which elected politicians are too easily overruled.

It comes as a poll has suggested as many as one in three Israelis are considering leaving the country over the crisis.

Meanwhile, relocation firms and lawyers have also told the BBC they are seeing a spike in business.
