As Ukraine faces more challenges on the battlefield nearly two years after Russia invaded, President Zelensky has said the army needs 500,000 more soldiers.
Under martial law, Ukrainian men aged between 18 and 60 can’t leave Ukraine because they could be called up to fight – and a new law is being prepared to close loopholes.
