Tomorrow Americans will go to the polls for the midterm elections to decide the fate of Congress. The outcome will determine President Biden’s ability to achieve governance during the remainder of his term.
The Democratic Party has held a majority in both parts of Congress, the House of Representatives and the Senate, but that power over the Republicans has been held with very narrow margins.
It’s being suggested that a good result for the Republicans could prompt Donald Trump to declare himself a candidate for the presidency in 2024.
Much will come down to the outcomes in a handful of battleground states where close polling suggests the result could go either way.
Mark Urban reports from Nevada where what goes on in Vegas, far from staying there, may well shift national politics.
