The UN has repeatedly ignored requests from bereaved families for information to help the official investigation into the explosion in Beirut, Lebanon, the BBC has learned.
A total of 219 people were killed and thousands were injured in the explosion in August last year.
The probe has been beset by delays, rows and recriminations, leaving families and survivors no closer to finding out who, if anyone, was to blame.
The colossal blast took place after a fire detonated thousands of tonnes of ammonium nitrate. The chemical, widely used as agricultural fertiliser, had been stored unsafely in a port warehouse for years.
