Ukrainian refugees have found shelter living amongst monks at a Romanian monastery, until one day they can return home to their country.
Iryna and her family, who are staying the Carpathian monastery in north-east Romania after fleeing from Kharkiv, said they have settled into life there.
“Only here, at the monastery, I stopped hating. Last Sunday, I even prayed for Putin,” said Iryna.
Almost four million refugees have fled Ukraine so far following Russia’s invasion of the country.
