Russia launched a record 145 drones at Ukraine on Sunday, according to officials. Ukraine says it managed to shoot down 62 drones and also attacked an arsenal in the Bryansk region of Russia overnight.
Ukraine also launched its biggest drone strike on Moscow since the start of the war in 2022.
At least 34 drones were launched at the Russian capital, which injured at least one person. The attack also forced flights to be diverted from three of the city’s major airports.
Russian air defences destroyed another 36 drones over other regions of western Russia in three hours on Sunday, the defence ministry said.
