Donald Trump’s highly controversial plan to expand the development of fossil fuel production in Alaska has been put on hold.
President Biden is suspending oil and gas leases that were handed out in Alaska’s vast National Wildlife Refuge during the final days of the Trump administration.
Around 11 billion barrels of oil are believed to lie beneath Alaska’s vast arctic wilderness.
