Egypt is celebrating the centenary year of the discovery of King Tutankhamun’s burial chamber.
When the archaeological dig began on 4 November 1922 it led to the discovery of the famous tomb, which is over 3,000 years old.
The tomb has helped archaeologists who study ancient objects, materials and buildings, understand more about Ancient Egypt and it has also become a famous symbol for Egypt’s identity and influence around the world.
A 12-year-old local boy is said to have played a crucial role in the excavations, but who was he?
