Sudan’s latest ceasefire appears to be holding, despite early breaches of the deal.
There were reports of air strikes and clashes in the capital Khartoum as the ceasefire came into force on Monday evening.
It is hoped the ceasefire will enable the delivery of badly needed humanitarian aid.
The conflict between the Sudanese army and the paramilitary Rapid Support Force broke out five weeks ago, with an estimated 700 people killed and more than one million displaced.
