Kyrgyzstan used to be home to thousands of reindeer but now there are as few as 400 left.
Poaching massively reduced their numbers. Reindeer horns were sent to China and Russia and used in aphrodisiacs.
The conservation efforts of Gamal and former poacher Talantbek are however having some success.
