Russia Eurovision entrant abused for women’s rights and LGBT stance – BBC News


Russia’s entrant for the Eurovision Song Contest 2021, Manizha Sangin, has spoken of the hatred she’s received after voicing support for the LGBT community, women’s rights and migrants.

The Tajikistan-born singer is heading to Rotterdam with the female empowerment anthem ‘Russian Woman’.

She has been met with a barrage of abuse from nationalist politicians and online commentators.
