Polar bears under threat as sea ice melts in Canadian arctic – BBC News


The United Nations biodiversity summit in Montreal is seeking a new agreement to protect endangered plants and animals.

It comes as researchers warn of the threat to polar bears in the Canadian arctic, where dwindling sea ice is putting their survival at risk.

The bears hunt and fish in Hudson Bay around the town of Churchill.
