President Joe Biden has delivered his annual State of the Union address.
He told the joint session of Congress that American democracy is bruised but unbroken following his predecessor Donald Trump’s attempt to overturn the 2020 election.
The president touted his administration’s record on job creation and said the country had overcome the Covid pandemic and the assault on the US Capitol.
He urged Republicans, who now hold a majority in the House of Representatives, to work with Democrats to help bring the country together.
