"We don’t attack Putin or Moscow,” President Zelensky retorted yesterday to accusations by the Kremlin of "a planned terrorist attack and an assassination attempt on the President," overnight, in an alleged drone strike.
It’s still unclear what actually happened, but it raises three questions – how closely is President Putin actually protected? How effective are Russian air defences? And what will be Russia’s next move?
A Ukrainian presidential advisor Mykhailo Podolyak told the BBC that the incident indicated Russia could be preparing "a large-scale terrorist provocation in Ukraine”.
