Decades on from the Apollo missions, the United States is now looking to send astronauts back to the Moon with the new Artemis programme.
NASA has scheduled a rocket launch for this month which will release a capsule called ‘Orion’ for an excursion around the Moon.

Newsnight’s science and technology correspondent Kate Lamble digs into the mechanics of the space race and what is driving the renewed interest in exploring the great unknown.
