Is England set to reverse the ban on building onshore wind farms? – BBC Newsnight

Former cabinet minister Simon Clarke has tabled an amendment to the Levelling Up Bill that would overturn a planning clampdown on onshore wind introduced by then-Prime Minister David Cameron in 2015.

The amendment has support from two former Prime Ministers, Boris Johnson and Liz Truss and the government has denied the Tory Party is split over the amendment.

But is there enough public support for the plan? And do people want to see the turbines being built in their neighbourhoods?

Science and Technology Correspondent, Kate Lamble reports on the impact onshore winds turbines will have in England.
