International reaction to Donald Trump winning the US election | BBC News

News of Donald Trump’s return to power in the White House has made global headlines.

But he will face more complicated challenges now than the first time round.

The Republican once vowed to end the war in Ukraine in a single day, and has repeatedly criticised US military aid for Ukraine.

Meanwhile Benjamin Netanyahu, Israel’s prime minister, was one of the first to congratulate Trump and has previously called him Israel’s best ever friend in the White House.

As world leaders flock to congratulate Trump on his victory, the BBC’s Middle East correspondent Jeremy Bowen analyses what his presidency could mean.
