The Israeli military says it is conducting "extensive" strikes on Hezbollah targets in Lebanon as cross-border attacks between the two sides continue to ratchet up.
Lebanese civilians are being told to move away from areas used by the Iran-backed group for military purposes, an IDF spokesperson says.
One person has been killed this morning in Israeli air strikes north of the Bekaa Valley, Lebanon’s health ministry says.
It comes after a weekend of cross-border attacks that saw Hezbollah rockets hit deep inside Israel, reaching targets in the city of Haifa.
Hezbollah’s deputy leader has said it was now in an open-ended battle of reckoning with Israel.
