It’s four years since the first death from Covid was confirmed.
During the first year, 3 million people died from the virus, according to the World Health Organization – a figure that has now reached almost 7 million.
In terms of the economic impact, the pandemic wiped an estimated $2 trillion off the global economy in 2020 – a hit that it is yet to recover from.
