How Iran state TV tries to control story of protests – BBC News


Images and videos of the protests that have rocked Iran for weeks have been shared around the world on social media.

The unrest was sparked following the death of 22-year-old Mahsa Amini after being detained by Iran’s morality police.

But what Iranians see of the protests on state TV is quite different to what is being shared on social media, as the government tightly controls what appears on it.
