How healthcare workers are providing a lifeline service in Myanmar – BBC News


It’s been two years since the military seized power in Myanmar – overthrowing Aung San Suu Kyi’s government – putting the country in social, economic and political crisis.

There is now a civil war in a country whose healthcare system has collapsed.

Doctors and nurses who stood up and said that they wouldn’t work for the military have been punished.

Many healthcare workers have been detained and others have fled.
