Only the most serious emergency cases are now being treated in Gaza hospitals as fuel supplies run out, according to the United Nations.
Israel is blocking supplies of fuel, food and water from entering Gaza, following the Hamas attacks that killed 1,400 Israeli citizens.
The UN is warning that all humanitarian operations are likely to come to a halt in Gaza in the coming hours due to the lack of fuel.
The Palestinian authorities say that more than 700 people were killed in Gaza by Israeli air strikes for the second day in a row.
Israel says it’s blocking fuel deliveries because they could be used by Hamas for military purposes. It accuses Hamas of stockpiling huge quantities of fuel.
