Covid Intensive Care: return to the hospital frontline – BBC News


In 2020 many hospitals were overwhelmed, as a new coronavirus spread across the world and critically-ill Covid patients filled intensive care wards.

Now vaccines and other medical treatments are protecting many people, but medical staff are still dealing with seriously ill patients.

Unvaccinated people are among those still at high risk from the virus.

Huw Edwards presents a BBC News at Ten special report by Clive Myrie, who’s returned to The Royal London Hospital, from where he reported at the height of the UK pandemic.
