Cocaine smuggling submarine reveals Europe’s drug crisis – BBC News

Law enforcement agencies in Europe have told the BBC the continent is facing a cocaine crisis.

The United Nations has warned that production of the drug surged by a third in just one year after a slowdown during the pandemic.

In the UK, the National Crime Agency said it’s driving an increase in knife and gun crime among gangs.

International police forces are now on the lookout for more submarines packed with drugs bringing cocaine from South America.
