Chinese families reunite for Lunar New Year – BBC News


More than a billion people have welcomed in the Lunar New Year – one of the world’s biggest festivals.

Fireworks, music and lanterns filled streets across Asia as locals began celebrations that are expected to last for 15 days.

In China, it is the first time the festival is taking place without any travel restrictions since the pandemic began.
