Can AI fashion models help shoppers cut clothes waste? – BBC News

Digital fashion models created using artificial intelligence (AI) are being used to help shoppers with their choices and reduce clothes waste.

Physical clothing results in 100 million tonnes of waste every year, mostly because of customers sending things back.

But AI-designed digital models of different shapes, sizes and skin tones could help shoppers with their choices, according to Amsterdam start up La La Land.

There could also come a time when shoppers create avatars in their exact image too.
