Singer Boy George said it was "difficult" to have the UK politician there after his mother was in hospital during the pandemic, while ITV news presenter Charlene White quizzed Hancock, asking him why he was there.
The MP – who resigned as UK health secretary for breaking Covid rules when he kissed a colleague – faced criticism for his decision to join the show, and was suspended from the Conservative Party as a result.
