Hundreds of people have attended a vigil in Uvalde, Texas, after 19 children and two teachers were killed in a mass shooting at a primary school.
The children who died were aged between seven and 10. Some of them had just received awards for great schoolwork.
The 18-year-old suspect had a handgun, an AR-15 semi-automatic rifle and high-capacity magazines, investigators say.
Many have called for stricter gun buying laws, while others are sceptical that they would stop mass shootings.
