Memories of Ukraine’s Great Famine fuel resentment of Russia - BBC News

The current tensions between Ukraine and Russia have deep historical roots.

Russia and other nations have long sought to determine Ukraine’s destiny, contributing to the rise of Ukrainian nationalism and demands for self-determination.

Clive Myrie presents a BBC News at Ten special report by Fergal Keane from Kharkiv in eastern Ukraine, who has been speaking to some of the last survivors of the famine.
